Every Journey Begins With A Single Step
Ways I Can Support Your Journey
The decision to begin therapy is often an important first step. Many people reach this point when things have been feeling difficult for some time, or when past experiences continue to affect how they feel, think, or relate to others. Therapy offers a space to slow things down, reflect, and begin to make sense of what has been happening. As an experienced EMDR consultant and CBT therapist, I provide a safe, compassionate space where we can begin to make sense of what you’ve been through, gently process difficult experiences, and help you move forward with greater confidence. Even when experiences have had a lasting impact, change is possible. Therapy can help people make sense of the past, reconnect with their strengths, and take steps towards a more settled and meaningful future.
My Approach
I specialise in supporting people experiencing the impact of trauma across the lifespan, including PTSD and CPTSD, from single-event trauma through to more complex and long-standing experiences. Alongside this, I also support people experiencing difficulties such as anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, OCD, panic and phobias.
My work is grounded in compassion, collaboration, and evidence-based practice. My main therapeutic approaches are Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), which form the foundation of my work. Both are well-established, evidence-based approaches recommended by NICE for PTSD, as well as for difficulties such as anxiety and depression.
Over time, my practice has naturally evolved into a more integrative way of working. While EMDR and CBT remain central, my work is also informed by approaches such as Internal Family Systems, Compassion Focused Therapy, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy, and mindfulness-based practices. This allows me to work in a way that feels thoughtful, flexible, and responsive to you as an individual.
